I think that this photograph represents human nature. It shows the feelings of what the mask feel. One is happy and joyful and the other is sad and upset.

this is human behavior in a art form. it shows that we have a key hole to our minds. that we are open to anything and absorb everything. our minds are there to create and recieve

DEAD ART??

In class we discussed controversial art. One that my group, team 4, did was very controversial. It was for a person to die infront of an artist for the sake of art. they say its to see the beauty in death. the only beauty in death, i think, is that your leaving this world for a better place. i dont think it is humane to die infront of a crowd for the sake of art and i would never go watch something that disturbing.

Art Class Fall 09

I enjoyed mrs. whittington's art class. she's an awesome teacher and really works to create something new and different to do for us. we pretty taught ourselves with our presentations and i liked doing that because i felt like it was very creative and whitty for us to do it that way. we got to be very hands on in our group presentations and with our blogs. i also like her grading scale.

I know what art is

I believe for the artist, art is a way of expressing yourself. Whether it be how you feel, think or see. For the viewer, i think art makes you feel things or think of things about the painting or sculpture. Art is a form of expressing yourself through paint, clay, or other raw materials.

Diorama

this is my diorama. it is about saving wildlife. i feel strongly about helping animals. Animals are becoming more and more extinct due to man.

Art Education in Schools

Art should definitely be kept in schools. Art being taught in schools gives the student an oppurtunity to create things and be creative with his or her self. Art Education is a key factor in a child growing up because kids have a huge imagination and are so hands on.

Public Art

This is a piece of public art in Paris. Its really odd and strange.. Its makes really no sense at all but then again it does.

On the Graffiti Beat.... is it art?

Graffit is a form of art but i dont necessarily think it is art. I think spray painting a area that is not owned by you does not make it art. Although graffiti is very cool and fun i think its illegal. Graffiti artists should paint and express themselves on property that is there's and that way people will not look down on it as vandilism.

My favorite piece of architecture.

This house called "Falling water" is my favorite piece of architecture. It was created by Frank Lloyd Wright. He creates many beautiful houses as seen in class. i love this house. it looks peaceful and modern. i love all the detailing he put into the house

My favorite artist

Claude Monet is my favorite artist. his paintings art so pretty and interesting. i only wish i could paint like Monet. i love his brush strokes and the pastel colors he uses in almost all his paintings. His works are very beautiful.

Poetry Slam

A poetry slam is a competition at which poets read or recite original work. Poetry Slam is judged by a group of judges. The poets recite their work or someone elses work and then are judged and could win a prize or just recongnition from other members of the club.

i think this is art. The wings are HUGE. They're so beautiful and flowy. i think its so pretty to look at and wonder just how long it took to create that one piece of art!

Micheal Jackson "This is it"

1.) the song man in the mirror by micheal jackson is one of my favorite songs by mj. When he sang it in the documentary "This is it" he really sang it with all his heart. It is a song that represents a person who wants to make a change, a difference but needs to start with themself.
2.) I noticed in the film "This is it" that Micheal Jackson is really picky when it comes to making his songs sound just right. MJ knows his songs well and does not want them to sound any different. Jackson was very into his work and you could tell that he was ready for this world tour he was about to embark on. Unfortunately Jackson was not strong enough to make it. But this movie really showed how spiritual Jackson was and how devoted he was to make his work perfect.

I think alot of britney spears videos are a true work of art. This one featuring the song "piece of me" shows britney spears life summed up in one song. It displays photographs and magazines that the paparrazi have taken of her. Like i said, alot of britney spears videos are very colorful and very interesting to watch.

I think that this dance shows the movements of the dancers in a unique way. The colors of the dancers work to show their movements. The dancers use a very unique form as they are dancing, looks like a bunch of different poses composed together.

This is a sidewalk painting of the Sistine Chapel that was originally painted by Micealangelo. I think this video is very neat to watch. It is really cool to see that this artist re-did this entire painting on a sidewalk and chalk and with all the hard work and time the artist spent on this it will just get washed away by the rain.

This image is an example of human condition because it shows what use to be. You see the a flag in the background barely hanging on and an eye above the city watching the town grumble.

Something that represents the human struggle in a art form

i think this represents a human struggle because the couple looks sad and depressed. The couple in the painting have no food on their plate and look scary thin. The two still have their arms wrapped around eachother even though they are dealing with the depression. The color of the painting is grays and whites and it works to set the theme for the painting.
